Illustrated FAQ topic cards for Speech For The Top

Starting therapy

What ages are served?

Speech For The Top is focused on pediatric speech therapy. Share your child’s age in the Getting to Know You Form, and we’ll follow up with available options or practical guidance.

How does therapist matching work?

Matching considers your child’s communication needs, your family’s schedule, and therapist availability. A match is never guaranteed.

Is an evaluation always required?

Not always. A professional review helps determine whether an evaluation or another available option is appropriate.

Virtual sessions

Is therapy fully virtual?

Sessions are one-to-one and virtual. We’ll review whether virtual therapy may be a good fit for your child and family.

Where must my child be located?

Your child must be located in a state where their therapist is licensed. Florida is our current primary service area.

What technology is needed?

A reliable internet connection and a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone are usually helpful. We’ll share practical setup guidance before a first session.

How long are sessions?

Session length is discussed as part of the individualized review. We do not publish a one-size-fits-all session policy.

Payment and Step Up

How does private pay work?

Private-pay families receive current session pricing before scheduling. If an evaluation is recommended, we explain its scope and cost in advance so you can decide whether you would like to proceed. The 15-minute introductory call is free. Eligible families may also be able to use Step Up For Students scholarship funds for covered sessions reserved through EMA.

Does the practice accept insurance?

Insurance participation is not currently represented on this website. Contact us to ask about payment options and scheduling guidance.

Can Step Up funds be used?

Speech For The Top is a Direct Pay Service Provider. For eligible sessions reserved through EMA and covered by available scholarship funds, we bill Step Up directly. Eligibility, available funds, eligible services, and program rules are controlled by Step Up For Students.

Policies and follow-up

What happens after submitting the form?

A team member reviews the general information and follows up with current therapist availability, scheduling guidance, or questions. Submitting the form does not guarantee availability or therapist matching.

What if virtual therapy is not a good fit?

We’ll talk through the situation and explain what options may be appropriate based on your child and family’s needs.

How are cancellations handled?

Cancellation details are discussed with families as part of the care process. Please contact us with a general question about what to expect.
